hi.. will a qualification such as (IMC) plus Bcom(eco)degree from South Africa help me get into IB?

I do not specifically think that these qualifications will help you get into investment banking. Research and timing is key to get onto a graduate programme. The milk round starts again in September. Between now and then you should research the industry / sector that you have chosen fully and work out the companies that you want to apply to. You need to understand these companies in detail so that when it comes to making your online applications it is evident that you have made tailored applications to each firm. You should apply to a minimum of 10 firms to increase your chances of being invited to first interview. It will also help you to work out what you have that gives you a competitive edge – it may not be great work experience or a summer internship. Look into other achievements that you are proud or – sporting or extracurricular, entrepreneurial or charity.
